Luther Manor features a long term skilled nursing
care facility set against the beautiful backdrop of the Minnesota River
Valley. Shaded lawns and flowering courtyards provide a safe
and relaxing place for residents and visitors. Deer
graze feet from the dining room, wild turkeys come up from the
river banks by the dozens, brightly colored birds fly from feeder to
feeder, and the scenery is only one of many
things that sets us apart.
The majority of residents at Martin Luther Manor enjoy single rooms in smaller units so they get the care and attention they deserve. A secure Memory Care unit with specialized and engaging programming overlooks the Minnesota River bluffs and is available for residents experiencing memory loss or Alzheimer's disease.
Residents have an active voice at Martin Luther Manor through Resident Council. Our Family Council meets at least twice each year to address thoughts and suggestions of family members. Social Services provide support and assistance as residents adjust to life at Martin Luther Manor, and assist residents and family members with care planning and decision making. Discharge planning and referrals, as well as assistance understanding financial programs and resources is also provided by our team of licensed social workers. Support services are available to help family members cope with grief and the challenges of understanding memory loss or Alzheimer's disease.
Spirituality is an important part of life for many residents at Martin Luther Manor, so we provide a full time Spiritual Care department. Our Chaplains provide a full range of services and activities for all residents at all stages of care, and support family members through difficult times.
Residents stay active and engaged with programs designed by our Therapeutic Recreation team. This includes everything from daily exercise groups to live entertainment to group birthday parties. An active and committed volunteer base contributes thousands of hours of time annually, and brings a sense of the community in with them. A full service Beauty Salon provides professional quality services to leave residents feeling pampered and special. Transportation services are available for outings in the community.
